The Beginning

Born from a question

The question was simple: why does luxury stop at the wardrobe? The woman who appreciates fine intimates should find the same care in her sheets, the same intention in her body care, the same material intelligence in every object she touches.

Velaine was founded in Melbourne, Australia, with a vision to build a complete luxury ecosystem — not a single product category, but an entire world. Six worlds, to be exact. Each one devoted to a different layer of daily life, all unified by the same material philosophy.

The name itself speaks to the material: vel for velvet, aine for the French suffix meaning "belonging to." Velaine. Belonging to velvet. Belonging to the woman who wears it.
